I don’t think I have ever been so happy to set my alarm clock. Today has been a long time coming. Would you believe that my younger 2 boys have only had 6 full days of school since before Christmas?! We are on a year round school calendar and I absolutely love it. But, the combination of a 2 week Christmas break, 2 snowstorms and a 3 week track-out break have taken a toll on me. It has been so hard to get into any routine and it has been obvious that we need one.
I tell you all this so that you will know why it has taken me so long to update you on the 2018 Card Challenge. If you don’t know what I am talking about, I decided that 2018 would be the year that I would send more cards and I invited anyone who was interested to join me. As a group, our goal is to send 2018 cards this year and we have 30 people so I know we can do it. In order to make this fun, there will be lots of prizes and challenges along the way. If you want to have your name added to the list, just send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can send you all the details.
Today, I am showing you a birthday card with a fun fold using the Cake Soiree Stamp Set and Thinlets. The card base is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 with it scored at 4 1/4 to make a perfect square card. When you create your focal image to rise above the fold, just be sure the total length does not exceed 5 1/2″ so that it will still fit in your envelope.
